  • # Position Overview
  • We are looking for experienced Embedded Software Project Managers with strong Japanese and English communication skills to lead international software development projects.
  • Candidates from any embedded software domain are welcome, including Industrial Systems, IoT, Consumer Electronics, Telecommunications, Home Appliances, Automotive, Medical Devices, Robotics, Embedded Linux, or other Embedded/Firmware Development environments.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or related disciplines.
  • 8+ years of experience in Embedded Software/Firmware Development.
  • Proven experience in Project Management, Team Leadership, or Technical Delivery Management.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, stakeholder management, and risk management.
  • Understanding of microcontrollers, microprocessors, embedded systems, RTOS, Embedded Linux, or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle models such as V-Model, Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Fluent Japanese communication skills (business level or above).
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration capabilities.
  • ## Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience working with global customers and distributed development teams.
  • Exposure to safety-critical, high-reliability, or large-scale embedded software projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage embedded software projects throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary contact point between customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project scope, schedule, quality, resources, and risks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze, clarify, and document customer requirements.
  • Coordinate development activities and monitor project progress.
  • Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation activities.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved in terms of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
  • Mentor and support team members while promoting continuous improvement.
