Job Description
- We are seeking a proactive and client-oriented ERP Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). The role involves working closely with international clients to analyze business needs, design effective solutions, and ensure successful system implementation aligned with best practices.
Key Requirements
- 1. Experience
- Minimum 5 – 10+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Proven experience in ERP implementation projects
- 2. Functional Knowledge
- Strong understanding of business processes, including:
- Procurement / Purchasing
- Finance (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger)
- Sales and Inventory
- Solid mindset in process design and system mapping
- 3. Skills
- Strong consulting mindset with the ability to propose solutions (not just gather requirements)
- Analytical thinking and ability to challenge business requirements when needed
- Good communication skills in English (mandatory)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with international clients
- Hands-on experience in UAT, Go-Live, and Post Go-Live support phases
- Understanding of system integrations (APIs, banking integrations, e-invoicing, etc.)
- Practical knowledge of real-world finance and accounting processes
Role Responsibilities
- 1. Client Engagement & Requirement Analysis
- Work remotely with clients to gather, analyze, and clarify business requirements across key domains such as Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Claims
- Provide consultative recommendations aligned with standard functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- 2. Solution Design & Fit-Gap Analysis
- Conduct Fit-Gap analysis between client requirements and BC capabilities
- Propose optimal solutions with a strong preference for standard system functionalities
- Clearly identify and define customization requirements (Change Requests – CRs) where necessary
- 3. Functional Documentation
- Develop comprehensive Functional Design Documents (FDD)
- Design business process flows (AS-IS and TO-BE)
- Prepare data mapping and integration logic documentation where applicable
- 4. Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Development and QA teams to ensure solutions are implemented accurately
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications
- Provide ongoing support and clarification throughout the development lifecycle
- 5. Implementation & Support
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparation and execution
- Conduct end-user training sessions
- Assist in issue resolution during Go-Live and Post Go-Live phases
- 6. Scope & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with clients to define scope and manage Change Requests (CRs)
- Support Project Managers in backlog management and expectation alignment
Remuneration & Benefits

- Approx. USD 12/hour for mid-level consultants (~5 years of experience)
- Up to USD 25/hour for senior consultants (~10+ years of experience)
